A) PROGRAM OUTCOMES

1) Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) After completion of the B. A. Program, the students will develop ability:

2) Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com.) After completion of the B. Com. Program, the students will develop ability:

1) Marathi
After completion of the program, the students will develop ability :

To understand and appreciate Marathi literature.
To understand the creative process and nature of literature.
To get interest in reading Marathi literature.
Of use formal and informal Marathi in communication.
To understand importance of language in day-to-day life.

2) Hindi
After completion of the program, the students will develop ability :

In the history of Hindi literature and its various forms.
To understand and appreciate literature in Hindi.
To make use of Hindi in day-to-day life.
To know difference between formal and informal use of language.
To develop communication skills in Hindi.
To propagate Hindi as a national language.

3) English
The syllabi of special English at B. A. Program have been designed by board of Studies in English, Shivaji University, Kolhapur keeping in mind the following outcomes :

The learners have acquired proficiency over spoken and written English.
The learners have been using English for communication on all walks of life without difficulty.
The learners have acquired English language communication skills.
The learners are well acquainted with English literature.
The learners have thorough knowledge of literary forms i.e. poetry, Drama, Novel, Short story, etc.

4) History
After completion of the program, the students will develop ability :

To study the history of various countries in the world.
To study and interpret history objectively.
To understand the change and impact of the revolutionary events.
To understand the events of Indian freedom struggle and contribution of the freedom fighters to the making of modern India.
To realize the role of social reform movements in the development of modern India.

5) Economics

To analyse macroeconomic policies including fiscal and monetary policies of India.
To determine economic variables including inflation, unemployment, poverty, GDP, Balance of payments using statistical methods.
